Object framing is a wonderful way to showcase your cherished items and memories, transforming them into stunning pieces of art. Don’t forget to think about the presentation! Using a shadow box can add depth and dimension, allowing for creativity in how you arrange and display your items. Consider adding a personalised touch with a descriptive label or plaque.

  • Medals and Service memorabilia including belts, berets, pips and stripes.

  • Records, retro cassettes, drumsticks, concert scarves and musical instruments.

  • Sports shirts, shorts, boots and equipment.

  • Holiday memories including pebbles, shells and souvenirs.

  • Coins, old money, stamps, commemorative items.

Memory boxes are an attractive and discreet way to keep your pet’s ashes and display a photo. Displayed free standing or hanging the removable back keeps ashes safely concealed. Memory boxes not only make a subtle memoriam, but can also be used as a ‘keepsake’ box for storing photos, a collar, or even small toys to remember your pet by.

Conservation

Conservation framing is an essential practice for preserving your cherished artwork and photographs while enhancing their visual appeal. By using high-quality materials and techniques, conservation framing helps mitigate damage caused by light, air, and environmental factors.

One of the core elements of conservation framing is the use of UV-filtering glazing. This specialised glass or acrylic protects your pieces from harmful ultraviolet rays, which can cause fading and degradation over time. Coupled with acid-free mat boards and backing materials, conservation framing ensures that your artwork remains in pristine condition.

Proper mounting techniques are equally important in conservation framing. I employ methods that avoid direct contact between the artwork and the frame, reducing the risk of discolouration and physical damage. These techniques also allow for natural expansion and contraction of the materials, further safeguarding your treasured pieces.

Investing in conservation framing is a wise decision for anyone looking to prolong the life of their valuable pieces.
