  • A preserved tarantula spider displayed in a glass case with a silver frame.

    Tarantula molt

    This has to be one of my favourite objects I have framed! So fragile, the molt has been attached by a single piece of invisible thread, with conservation grade materials and invisible glass…it really comes to life.

    This box frame has been made deep enough to store other medals or ribbons in the back of the frame.

    Ollies collar is displayed along with his photo. I can design the frame to incorporate any memorabilia including your pets favourite toy, slipper, photos, collar, leads etc.

    I printed the song music and did a decoupage effect on the frame for this commemorative birthday newspaper.

    Double glazed parchment

    I framed this large parchment between glass so it had a floating appearance. You can also do this with papyrus and other papers.

    Medals can be displayed as a permanent display or you can frame them on their pin and the back of the frame removable so they can be worn at services.

    Sinclair Spectrum…remember them? With this object being so heavy I sunk the keyboard into the mount and built a box at the back for support. This also means the back could be seen as well.

    Regula V Invisible glass

    When selecting glass for your bespoke framing needs there are various options from cost-effective standard glass, diffused glass, and UV protective invisible glass.

    Conservation grade framing

    Cutting a bevelled edge on foam-core with a mount on top means you can sink the newspaper in the trough which keeps the paper in position without using any tape or glue. I used conservation backing and invisible glass so paper should last another hundred or so years.

    I hand coloured the red bevel on a black mount to complement this little picture.

    A narrow inner mount can subtly pick out colours in your picture giving it more depth.

  • Large Graffiti Print

    Invisible hinges using conservation tape suspends this graffiti print onto the mount so you can see the torn paper edges with a top mount to keep the print off the glass.

  • Paw print

    I stained the edges of this little white frame to compliment the paw print print.

  • Comic page

    I had some pages of a comic leftover from a project so I mounted it onto foam core then wrapped foam core strips to make a 3D mount.

  • Flat Mouldings

    Everything from black and white, veneers and dark woods.

  • Decoupage frame

    Used some napkins as decoupage to make this stunning frame stand out.

  • 80's Original

    This 1980’s original painting of Robert Smith has had a makeover with a twisted mount to keep the retro vibe.

  • Lamp and frame.

    Hand painted this lampshade to compliment the zebra photo and frame.

  • Pet portrait

    Using TruVue invisible glass on this drawing not only protects it from harmful UV light, it also shows the detail of the fur look so real you could stroke it.

  • Pet memory box

    The box has a removable back so you can place your pets ashes inside, along with any keep sakes. This is my beloved Princess Ratty.

    Satin Deco Diffused glass replaces the old style non-reflective glass. It gives a softer look to artwork.

  • Very rare photo

    Rare, 1975, Bruce Springsteen photo. Only 25 worldwide and this is number 1. Conservation framing with invisible glass.

    Framed in a pewter style frame to compliment the lead work. Now hung back at its home in the window instead of just balanced on the sill.

  • Diamond painting

    This diamond painting picture was sealed with jigsaw puzzle glue after it was completed, so there is no need for glass and the texture remains.

  • Glass engraving

    This zebra glass engraving was done using the Swiss diamond hand engraving technique instead of an electric engraver. This results in very fine detail being achieved. Framed in a slim black frame and a super chunky black and cracked silver frame on top makes this piece stand out.

  • Gold Scraper foil art

    Scraper foil never gets old…not in my opinion anyway! This little tiger one framed in a gold mount with a textures black frame and invisible glass makes the gold pop.

  • Mountboard colour wheel

    Plenty of shades of white through to beige.

  • Washi tape mount decoration

    This little silk has been finished with a triple mount and washi tape boarder.

  • LFC signed winners shirt

  • 1990 newspaper cutting!

    After I achieved my Master Framer Certification, I helped create this huge piece, with my then boss, Clive. The flags were brand new and one of my jobs was to trash them and make them look like they had been through the civil war, using curtain poles as the flag poles. It was put together in the shop only to find that it was too big to go through the back service entrance door, to the delivery van. We had to carry it through the front door and up Yeovil’s Middle Street.
